Coffee-cappuccino
Cappuccino is an espresso, very strong, in the big cup where added
hot, whipped milk. This drink is named so, because of its color scale
(brown with white) that reminds brothers Capuchins, members of old
order of the Catholic Church, wearing to the present time dark cassock
with light hood. Cappuccino is drunk exclusively till dinner time.
Components (for two persons):
- 160-250 ml of very cold fat milk.
- Approximately 15 g (2table spoons) well roasted coffee, ground espresso
for preparation.
- Powder of cocoa or coconut (for choice).
1. Pour cold milk in metal jug or special mixer capacity; whip with
steam until the flat cap is formed from the smallest bubbles. Set
it aside.
2. Prepare two portions of coffee espresso in big (150 ml) or specially
designed for cappuccino cups.
3. Pour out whipped milk in coffee, holding the scum with the teaspoon,
and then at the very end lay out it on the drink surface.
4. In ideally prepared cup with cappuccino should be: coffee espresso,
whipped milk and dairy scum in equal quantities. Sometimes, when coffee
is made, happens that it is necessary to whip milk again if the foam
will start to settle and lose the form; for this purpose several seconds
are enough. If milk during whipping with hot steam has boiled or was
too sated with air, it is better to take new portion.
5. Scum surface strew with cocoa powder or coconut.
Summer coffee: cappuccino with ice
Ingredients: 40 g espresso from 7 g of ground coffee, 50 ml milk,
200g ice crumb.
This recipe is accessible, unfortunately, only to the owners of coffee
machines as the "know-how" of the whipped dairy scum for
this drink in home conditions, unfortunately, is not known.
Half of the glass fill with the ground or finely chipped ice, then
prepare Italian espresso (7 g coffee on 40 ml of water) and add sugar.
The mixture is poured in with ice. The following step – is whipping
milk in dense and homogeneous scum and, also, adding it in glass atop
ice and coffee. In the end of all - dairy scum is accurately spread
out from above.
So we have received an excellent cappuccino with ice and wonderful
dairy scum!
