Coffee
There are some versions why coffee has such name. By one version the name "is inherited" from South-Ethiopian province Kaffa, by another it comes from the word qabwa, that in Arabian "stimulant". There is also an assumption, that the word "coffee" has come from Arabian "cauve", that means force and energy.
There are three basic sorts of coffee: Arabica (the world leader on sales and manufacture volumes); Robusta (it is used in creation of coffee mixes, "answers" for the strength of the drink) and Liberica which also used for creation of coffee "bouquet". As a rule, to consumer is offered not one sort of coffee in the pure form, but a mix of several sorts. One of the major aspects of mixing - is "wedding" between Arabica and Robusta coffees. Arabica is an excellent sort with rich taste and fine aroma, but it has almost twice less caffeine and fats, than in beans of Robusta coffee sort. Robusta coffee is less fragrant, but gives fuller and extractive infusion.
Thus, Arabica and Robusta, mixed in various proportions, give a wide spectrum of tastes and aromas of coffee drinks. About process of making mixture you can find in the article Blending.
Coffee has stimulating effect on the central nervous and cardiovascular systems. It is used as stimulating remedy, and when poisoning with drugs, etc.
Coffee grows more than in 50 countries of the world. In the countries of Central America and on Caribbean Islands (Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican republic, El Salvador, Guadeloupe, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica (Jamaica Blue Mountain), Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Puerto Rico), in South America (Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela), on the African continent (Angola, Burundi, Cameroon, Ethiopia) etc.
