Clay teapots are ideal for brewing green, white, yellow Chinese teas and of course for brewing Chinese oolong tea while tea ceremony. Clay teapots should be Chinese or Taiwanese, without clay smell, not to give tea unpleasant taste. No glaze on it! Only low-quality clay teapots are covered with glaze.

At last transparent teapots - ideal for serving Chinese tea or just for taking pleasure from this sight.

Teacups should be porcelain or glassy, lightweight, thin-walled, simple, comfortable and contrasting. Lets overview all this qualities:

The porcelain teacups have all this qualities that mentioned above. Only porcelain cups can be light weighted (in contrast to faience and clay), thin-walled (another materials usually thick-walled) and contrasting (can be covered with different drawings). Besides, china is an example of luxury.

Phial, cylinder and beaker form is ideal form for teacup. Sometimes following old English tea traditions - a teacup has a small stem, but is better without it.

Transparent beakers and highball glasses in original used for Irish coffee and cold tea. Serving tea in such ware can be originally, but not comfortable.
